I bought my first car when I was 15yo. a mini 1000 delux. At 16yos 17 I had a 1275 1969 Mini Cooper S mk2. My mate drove it to high school on my 17 Bday and I drove it to the local police station in Lismore for my driving test. I remember a big burly sergeant shoe horning himself into the passenger seat and asking 2 questions. I drove my around the block and back to the station and that was it. I was hoping for a few parallel parks and hill starts which I had been practicing but no so that was it. Rolling at last.
