What an excellent history, Mark. Thank you. I have had the pleasure of riding a mate’s CBX through the Adelaide hills and country SA on several occasions and can attest it feels light and nimble. ( I do ride a Harley and just sold a Z1000). In the 80s I called the CBX a ‘sewing machine’ due to its smooth buzz and complexity but after riding one I had to agree with the owner, I was like a ‘turbine.’ It just keeps pulling and at 110kph in top gear, roll-on power for overtaking is superb. Thanks again for your insights into the history and design.
