This was pretty exciting at the time-23 years ago! Interestingly, when I finally bought myself a new car (2013) the experience was strangely lacking. I haven't had once since and I only kept that new Alfa for 5 years anyway. I guess I have had almost exclusively second hand cars since back in '82 and I think that will continue for better or worse.
