This is a 1963 Holden salesman's guide to selling the EH against its competition; the XL Falcon, AP5 Valiant and Austin Freeway. Having just announced the 179, they asked "why should a Valiant buyer pay additional for power they can't use, let alone need?" All to be taken with tongue in cheek..... Neighbouring farmers to us had two Holden utes. Dad had a new EH 149, whereas the son had an EJ. The son's EJ was far better around the paddocks than the EH; you could trickle it around in top gear, whereas the EH needed constant gear changes to keep it moving and it spun the wheels on grass at the slightest provocation. They were never driven in anger on the road either.
