The Taunus 12M was only slightly larger than the 100E Anglia. Overall length of the Anglia was 3.85m whereas the 12M was 4.06. They both used differing versions of the side valve 1172cc engine (all my Taunus literature is in Dutch, German or Norwegian....), but at least the Germans went ohv with the 15M in 1955, well before the 105E. I thought they looked quite neat but for the blobby nose.
