...and I have managed to buy the wrong upper arms. The ball joint is pretty clearly in the wrong place. Correct ones now ordered but that means more frustrating delays. Since all the suspension is out, I might as well put new shocks in it. The Bilstein ones look good (they certainly had a good reputation back in the day) but US owners seem to rate the Eibach ones. The left and right uprights now have fresh ball joints pressed in and are ready to install. I beat myself up yesterday in a hurry getting the drivers side upright out hoping to have everything to reinstall today but basically can do nothing until those replacement upper arms show up. Every single balljoint was even worse than the passenger side, which makes them extremely hard to remove. I guess the delay means I can do something about the plastic bumper and the missing clearcoat on the bonnet and roof. Extra picture just because it looks great.
