Always strikes me as odd that GMOO allowed Holden to develop the LH range when the Vauxhall FE Victor/Ventora could have been so easily adapted for Australian conditions. Sizewise and power options were so close with the Vauxhall offering engine options from the Victor's 1600cc 4 to the 3300cc 6 in the Ventora. To my eye the Vauxhall was also a more attractive design, with some style when compared to the somewhat bland LH. GM moved on to their world cars with the J, T and V platforms. Had they shared the design of the Vauxhall perhaps development capital could have been better used to develop the larger car range and market share.
