The Pioneer DVD unit that was installed in the car was pretty good, but it just wasn’t enough to have Bluetooth connectivity I wanted Apple CarPlay. After conversing with other 300C people on the internet I rolled the dice on an integrated head unit from Alibaba. I was skeptical since the after market JVC and Sony CarPlay systems have been underwhelming and required serious wiring reworks to get them to work. Colour me surprised when the 9” Alibaba unit proved to be literally plug and play including the steering wheel controls. Those are can bus based and pretty tricky but they work pretty well. The unit itself is very responsive, much better than the $500+ units you buy retail here. The screen is good quality, it works with the factory amps and sounds great. I am surprised. A little disappointed to be honest given it was well under $200 delivered but makes a very expensive $500 JVC or Sony unit look stupid. I hate to say this too but the finish on the integrated fascia is better quality than the Chrysler original.
