Shannons has become a major supporter of Australia's newest motor museum, appropriately in Victoria's 'Motown', Shepparton.
The Shepparton Motor Museum only opened its doors in December last year but already it has ambitions to become one of the country's most dynamical regional museums.
Along with its rotating display of 50 classic, vintage and veteran cars and motorbikes and associated memorabilia, the Museum plans to become a Mecca for car clubs to visit and share in its featured activities.
Its current theme is the 'Fabulous Fifties' and includes the 1957 FE Holden and period caravan of its curator Daryl Meek, while Jaguars will be celebrated in a future display.
The Museum's General Manager, Tony Badrock, said the facility was already 'world class' and the response from visitors to date had been fantastic.
“The building and its construction were both donated and everything is purpose-built and brand new,” he said. “Having Shannons as a major supporter is a perfect fit and a major boost to our profile, as they are synonymous with motoring enthusiasts.”
