Touring Car Masters will visit 6 different circuits during the 2023 season, with 4 races per round, adding up to 24 races for the Championship.

Starting early this year in Tassie at Symmons Plains, the series will contest RACE Tasmania, an annual event now, and there is no better crowd participation than the Tassie enthusiasts.
I first drove my dad’s race car at Symmons Plains when I was 11 years old, which seems like a lifetime ago.

From Tassie we go to the streets of Newcastle, which is a really tough track for old muscle cars but incredibly popular with fans.

Then round three will be at the popular Victorian circuit of Winton before TCM debuts at the Bend in South Australia in August. The Bend is Australia’s newest racetrack and is state-of-the-art.

No TCM season would be complete without a visit to the legendary Mount Panorama circuit at Bathurst. Our series final will be on the Adelaide Street circuit on the last weekend of November.

All the races will be televised live, on a mixture of Fox Sports when we race on the Supercars program and Stan in conjunction with the Nine Network when we race on the SpeedSeries.

I will be racing my Torana A9X, featuring new warpaint and some other news I will share with you in the Shannons club next month. It’s still a work in progress.

I would like to wish all Shannon’s Club members and friends a happy and prosperous 2023, and I hope to see lots of you at the track.

Happy motoring,
JB
