Kevin Bartlett and his famous Camaro will open Shannons new Brisbane office on February 3.
Shannons brand new Brisbane office will officially be opened on Friday this week by one of the legends of Australian motor racing - two times Australian driving champion and 1974 Bathurst winner, 'Big Rev' Kevin Bartlett.

Bartlett, a long-time Shannons customer, will cut the ribbon to open the new Shannons office at Unit 3/11 Ross Street Newstead at a function involving customers, car club members, restorers and media, commencing at 6.00pm.

Kevin Bartlett's famous Group C 'Channel 9' Camaro, with which he claimed two Bathurst pole positions and finished third in the 1982 Australian Touring Car Championship, will be one of the special vehicles on display on the evening.

The Camaro has recently been totally restored by Bartlett on behalf of its new owner, Queensland historic touring car enthusiast David Bowden of Bowden's Own Premium Car Care products. It is the subject of a special feature in issue 257 of Unique Cars magazine, on sale February 15.

As well as providing Shannons with much improved facilities for insurance customers, an important feature of the new office is its fully-equipped Car Club Meeting Room, which is available for club meetings.

The Newstead address is also a very prestigious one in the Brisbane motor world, with Shannons neighbours including Porsche Centre Brisbane, STI, (Subaru) Citroen, Rollies Speed Shop and the well-known Harley Davidson agents,' Morgan & Wacker'.
