
It’s that time of year, ball sporting codes are wrapping up their home and away seasons signalling that the Bathurst 1000 is just around the corner.
The 2025 edition of the ‘Great Race’ takes place October 9 – 12 and promises four days of non-stop action, featuring an incredible lineup of on track activities headlined by the Repco Supercars Championship and its most-iconic race of the year.
Shannons will be proudly represented by its brand Athletes competing in 1000km endurance race, as well as the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship which features at the event as one of the main support categories.
The Shannons Super Rig will journey to Mount Panorama, where it will be set up at the base of the circuit, on the outside of the Main Straight on the exit of the final turn.
Bathurst 1000 ticket holders will have the opportunity to meet and greet Shannons Ambassadors and Athletes Dale Wood, Cam Waters, Bayley Hall and Alice Buckley at the Shannons Super Rig, where the star drivers will each make an appearance for signature sessions.
All four drivers will meet and greet fans at the Super Rig on from 10:30am until 12:15pm on both Friday 10 and Saturday 11 October.

As part of Shannons’ Platinum Partnership with Girls on Track, participants at Bathurst will feature at on the Super Rig where they will gain valuable work experiences during the largest motorsport event in Australia.
Supercars Championship – Ryco Enduro Cup
Driver of the #6 Monster Energy Ford Mustang GT, Waters, heads into the annual classic with plenty of momentum, sharing driving duties with Mark Winterbottom.
The pair claimed second position in the opening event of the Enduro Cup, The Bend 500 held at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park in September, putting themselves in the box seat to fight for the greatest prize in Australian motorsport – the Peter Brock Trophy.

Waters, meanwhile, has achieved a personal best finish of P2 on two occasions in 2020 and 2021.

Bathurst weekend will be a busy occasion for Wood, as he is also entered in Round 6 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship.

Wood is a strong and consistent performer at Bathurst and regularly features inside the Top 10, highlighted by a career-best finish of P6 at the 2021 Bathurst 1000.

Porsche Carrera Cup Australia – Round 6
The highly competitive one-make series will visit Mount Panorama for Round 6 of eight of the 2025 calendar.

It is the second consecutive season for Wood and Penrite Racing, the team with which he makes his 18th Supercars Bathurst career start.
Wood is a strong and consistent performer at Bathurst and regularly features inside the Top 10, highlighted by a career-best finish of P6 at the 2021 Bathurst 1000.

Meanwhile, Wood will have a robust weekend calendar juggling Supercars practice sessions and the 1000km race with competition commitments behind the wheel of his Earl Bamber Motorsport prepared Porsche.

With the two drivers featuring inside the Top 10 of the drivers’ standings, they will be a force to reckon across three races, consisting of a 40 minute mini enduro, and a pair of 25 minute races.
