Shannons SpeedSeries: Race Phillip Island Free Ticket Offer
Race Phillip Island will be the largest Shannons SpeedSeries so far this year with confirmation of six national racing classes on the three-day schedule.
The event, hosted at the scenic Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit April 12 – 14, will see more than 18-hours of circuit activity and will be headlined by Supercheap Auto TCR Australia and Trico Trans Am Australia Series.
In collaboration with Motorsport Australia, The Shannons Club is offering FREE GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS for motoring enthusiasts to live the action firsthand at Race Phillip Island. Use the promo code and link at the base of this article to secure your General Admission Tickets, with single day or weekend offerings.
Privateer entrant, Zac Soutar, will strive to defend his early lead in the 2024 TCR standings racing his Audi RS3 with rivals Ben Bargwanna and internet sensation Jordan Cox nipping at his heels. James Moffat meanwhile retains a slim five-point lead in the Trans Am points table, ahead of Jordan Boys and James Golding who were both standouts at Round 2, Tasmania.
Making its first Shannons SpeedSeries appearance of 2024 will be Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS featuring guest appearances from some of Australia’s biggest racing stars, alongside the highly anticipated standalone debut of the Monochrome GT4 Australia.
Current Supercars championship leader and Red Bull Racing star, Will Brown, is among big names appearing in Australian GT3 competition at the Island, racing an Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo2 shared with Brad Schumacher.
A pair of freshly-imported Ferrari 296 GT3s will make their Australian competition debut following a successful shakedown test in Perth in March. 2023 Australian GT champion, Liam Talbot, will line up in one of the striking Ferraris, with Jaxon Evans, Elliott Schutte and Chaz Mostert completing the driving roster for the Arise GT team.
Australian racing legend John Bowe will be in action in the GT4 class, entering Round 3 alongside Jacob Lawrence in a new BMW M4 G82 GT4 car in what will be a year-long assault on the new class.
Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge and Workhorse Radical Cup will also make their first respective appearances on the Shannons SpeedSeries bill.
Fans unable to attend the event in person can catch the entire Saturday and Sunday event broadcast via the 7plus streaming platform, with select races telecast on the 7mate free-to-air channel on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
Ticket carrying patrons will again have access to a free grid walk prior to the final race of the GT World Challenge on Sunday afternoon, as has been a very popular addition to Shannons SpeedSeries events at Sandown and Symmons Plains earlier this year.
