The Sydney German Auto-fest has been operating since 2010 and is considered to be Sydney’s premier German car show. Indeed, the Sydney German Auto-fest is now one of the largest car events currently being held in New South Wales.

Each year the event goes from strength to strength in numbers of cars on display as well as in increase in spectators and car enthusiasts. The growing awareness and popularity of the event can be attributed to all the hard work a dedicated group of Mercedes-Benz Club of NSW members have committed over these past years.

Whilst the Mercedes-Benz Club of NSW is the host and organising party of the event, the five major German Marques, including MB, BMW, Porsche, Audi and VW are all well represented. Furthermore, the German car clubs fully support the annual event and contribute to its success. These clubs include BMW Drivers Club NSW, Porsche Club NSW, Audi Club Sydney, Club VeeDub, VW Flat Four Club as well as the Micro Car and Scooters Club.

Each year we plan the event to be better than the previous year. Initiatives introduced in our October 2023 event included:

  • Invitation to German Marque dealerships to set up a display of their latest offering of cars and merchandise. All five German brands were represented on the day.
  • Corporate displays of interest to our attendees and public. Those companies supporting the event included Oldtimer Centre, Collecting Cars, Stash, B&R Brakes, Auto Salon d’Elegance, Best Exhaust P/L, Euro Spec Die Cast Model Cars, Ord Minnett, DIY Autoworks, Repco Australia, BWA Auto, Fuelics, GYEON and Travelrite International.

Food and refreshments are available on the day from our vendors; Volkswurst German Sausages, Fire and Flames Pizza, Ice Cream Super Nova and our coffee vans from Benzin Café and Siftbakes.

The event is held at Gough Whitlam Park, Bayview Avenue Earlwood, NSW 2206. The event is always held on the last Sunday of October each year. Gates open at 7.30am and remain open until 8.30am with all cars to be on display for a 9am start.
