The streets of Northam will come alive to the sights, sounds and smells of an era past.
The event encompasses a hill climb at Mt Ommanney on Saturday followed by the Autokhana in Bernard Park with the 'round the houses' re-enactment on Sunday.
One of the highlights of the Northam Flying Fifty is the opportunity to enter the paddock/pit area and admire the vintage and classic vehicles up close and talk with the drivers.
The Vintage Sports Car Club of WA helps preserve motor sport history in WA. The Northam Flying Fifty itself is an evocation of the ??Round the Houses?? form of motor racing and was first held in Northam in 1952. Today the Flying Fifty is a major highlight on the Northam annual calendar and is a great opportunity for all ages to enjoy the history and spirit of classic racing cars.
