The 48th Historic Winton, presented by the Austin 7 Club, is two jam-packed days of historic motorsport, each year on the last full weekend in May. In 2025, it's held on 24th and 25th May. It is Australia's longest-running most popular historic motorsport event and in fact, is one of the largest sporting events in regional Victoria. Winton Motor Raceway's short track provides a full view of the track from almost every location making it the perfect event for spectators. To top it all off, the Shannons Car Park features anniversary and heritage displays. Many arrive in their 'pride and joy' hobby vehicles too, so there are paddocks full of beauties to see. There's also a market of allied goodies and delicious food and coffee.
And if you'd like to make a long weekend of it, there's always the Benalla Historic Vehicle Tour run on Friday 23rd May. Organised by the Benalla Rural City Council, the tour takes in the beautiful countryside and many great attractions in the Benalla region. Details are available at this link:
