History
Bought it in fair condition about 12 years ago. Stored it for 10 years and did a full strip down sand blast and paint job. New upholstery and sound proofing. Tranny stopped in middle of train level crossing and had to be towed. A bit worrying so the C4 was completely redone. It has standard carbie but the motor was a bit worked by the previous owner. It took over a year to get on the road and another to iron out the faults that normally occur in older vehicles that are stored for a while. But well worth it. Runs well and a pleasure to drive. Surprisingly even though it's an old standard fairlane 500 each time I park it people complement me on it and take photos. The number plates are original and not personal as the middle letter / number is V8. I kept the chrome to minimum as it suits the color {I think} . I got it with an original set of mags that I kept and put on every now and then for a different look.
Modifications
During the overhaul found the motor has some nice work done and it has the XY -GT front disc brakes on it. All brakes and running gear I rebuilt. I changed the colour of the upholstery as it was a drab tan colour. The paint is the original Ford Zircon green.
