History
my first car was a yellow SSS Datsun Nissan Stanza,
"not the one in the picture but exact same"
I had only just got my L plates in the family's XB wagon 16 and 9 month's to the day !!!
and very soon started to look for my own car.
living in the country outback "collerenebri"
my mother always brought the weekend newspapers every week.
and every week there was a capital motors advert for these low cost
new cars $6990 drive away no extra to pay.
so on one of very few trips to the big city, we visited capital motors,
and whooh!!! drove home in a shiny NEW yellow SSS stanza.
complete with sports stripping, AM radio, leather steering wheel, leather 5 speed gear knob, red instrument lighting, mag wheels,
and SSS designer seat coverings.
what a great little car it was.
Modifications
after picking it up, it was straight to the auto shop for a pair of hella 140 driving lights, pioneer cassette player, a rear window louver and best of all what every boys dream a set of loud AIR HORNS, to chase all the kangaroos off the road sides along the Walgett RD.
