History
The first production Elfin Aerodynamic built (later to become Streamliner, 23 in total) by Garrie Cooper, at Elfin Sports Cars, 1 Conmurra Avenue, Edwardstown, South Australia.
This is a prime example of Australian Automotive Design and Manufacturing capacity.
This Elfin model was commissioned by Rob Brosnan a fellow enthusiast friend of Garrie’s wanted an Aerodynamic body for his Ford 10 Special. Garrie pointed out that the cost of a single car would be prohibitive, but if three of more bodies could be made, he would be prepared to take on the project.
Murry Lewis, Bruce Went and Peter Wilkinson all agreed to purchase a car, Garrie built and designed the protype, this was the start of Elfin Sport Cars.
