History
Purchased in the 90s as a replacement for my stolen Holden Ute, was a daily driver for a few years. in 2000 it underwent a rebuild to get rid of some minor rust issues and clean it up.
Modifications
After a couple small engine issues I decided to rebuild the motor, later the engine was also converted to gas around 2001. The only other engine mods were a mild cam and head service to install hardened valve seats and high temp valve guides (to support gas use).
After rebuilding the motor, a friend dented the door, so I got carried away and rebuilt the rest of the car. During the rebuild the gearbox was replaced with a Walkinshaw VL 5 speed box, new rims made up and new tray. The car came with the Statesmen panels when i bought it, Im the second owner. The tray is 5mm checker plate aluminium with sides and a rear removable roll bar (same profile as the forward one).
