Holden HZ Sandman Panel Van - Purchased 1989 with 115,000km from the original owner who purchased it new - Now has 445,000km - Daily Work Vehicle (much to the disgust of everyone who see me) - Is lovingly cared for, but it has to perform & work everyday. Creates constant interest & memories for lots of people :)
I am often asked which shows I go to & what its won, but I have never had an interest in parading it, I use it & enjoy people seeing it in its natural environment - i.e. on the road.
Modifications
4.2ltr replaced with 5.0ltr (Unavoidable) - Installed at new was Aluminium Side Rails / Sunroof / Tinted Rear Light Covers/ Suspension Lowered / Dragways Installed
I have since modified with Heavy Duty Rear Leaf Springs / Rear Pump Up Shockers / LPG Conversion (Duel Fuel) / Electronic Ignition / Heavy Duty Wheel Bearings / Heavy Duty Clutch / Brand New Dragways Fitted 2013 / Full Customization with Side Cupboards & Black Marine Carpet to rear Cabin (Except Original Roof Lining).
I had the Paintwork & Body completely Refinished & Re-Painted as per the original Specs in the mid 90s & am fastidious about maintaining its condition throughout.
Full Original GTS Front Cabin in immaculate condition / everything is fully functional, yes, even the clock :) Not butchered at all. All as it should be with the exception of the Radio, this has a USB/CD Pioneer unit installed.
Original 4 Speed Aussie Gear Box - Genuine Sandman as per the Compliance Plate, Tyre Placard, etc. Have had just about every enthusiast I come across not believe it, so they check it all & have to concede I am not full of shit.
