History
Purchased in 1971, 8 months before being old enough to get my licence .Being obsessed with XW and XY GTs at the time and only having enough saved for the Van the Van it was for $2200. X gas n fuel Vic. 39000 ks on the clock 221 ,6cyl 3 on the tree, disk brake had the chromies fitted extractors and twin pipe ready to roll on licence day . the next 14 years saw engines swapped and broken along the way finally settled for a 2502V tripple SU shod beast for its time . could hold its own with any of the XU1s of the day.Not to mention the never ending supply of gear boxes and diffs grenades for no apparent reason :-) Till finally the family took over 2 adults and 2 Kids in a Van was never going to work.. Swapped out the 2502V for a stock 302w the rest as they sat is history ..Side note the 250 2V is still alive and well having been through 3 other X series along the way to a TE cortina drag car now resting quietly in a corner of the shed Waiting .....
