History
FUW (0)13 is a Morris 8, Series E, 1939. It has been in the Webster family since new, purchased by Dr Nora Webster In London. It was purchased/gifted/moved on to her son, Trevor Webster post WWII. The car survived bombings by the Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain, sustaining some turret damage thanks to Herman Goering and his operatives! FUW (0)13 was used extensivley by Trevor to tour around the UK and Europe covering all of Great Britain and much of Europe up into Scandinavia. In 1958, having married, Trevor, and his partner in crime, Mary, along with their 17 month old son Tony set off on what was to be the first London-Sydney Overland drive making the Channel crossing on a Bristol Airfreighter and the crossing from Singapore to Derby, WA, on the SS Gorgon, landing in Australia on 24th September 1958. "Moggie" transported Trevor, Mary and Tony across the World as well as across Australia and was in daily service for a number of years until late 1960s. It was retired and placed in the garage only to be eventually rebirthed after extensive and painstaking restorations over the 1980s-late 1990s. It has since been registered and driven on occasions but is still a proud member of the Webster family and evidence of their journey to Australia.
Modifications
FUW (0)13 was restored back to its original state. A variety of modifications that were made prior to the Overland trip in 1958 were corrected and the vehicle was taken back to factory standard.
