History
Bought this car in 1981,did a full bare shell restoration finished in 1984.Was an all matching numbers car with original block with 2v heads,modified intake and allot of other power upgrade goodies.This is a rare car possibly one of one D code paint gt with black trim and 4 speed top loader, 36 gallon tank manufactured 7/1971.Was originally told by ford in 1981 when i bought the car that it didn’t exsist.Ford originally told me no xy shaker gt’s were painted in raw orange but as we now know that was not the case but i do believe it was the only manual with black trim the other cars all had white trim and autogear boxes and factory windback sunroof ,aircon and powersteering.Possiblly only 5 cars in total.Sold the car in 1986/7 in Gladstone QLD, biggest mistake in my life ever made,have regretted,and missed that car my whole life and one day hope to have the money to buy it back as i know it still exsists.
