I aquired my first car, the Austin A40 Devon, when I was 15. The idea was that it was to be a project for me to restore and get road worthy for when I got my licence.
What can I say, I lived on a farm, I "road tested" the A40 to destruction, plus the hidden rust that emerged was terminal, for me, in those days. I love dit, leather seats, sunroof, 4 on the floor, even though it jumped out of first and wouldn't go into third. Hydraulic brakes on the front wheels, mechanicals on the back, it was a weapon indeed.
