History
The car was purchased originally by Dr Sangster of Kooringa, near Burra, northern South Australia. Dr Sangster qualified at Adelaide Uni. in 1897 and subsequently practiced with his father in Burra. He was mayor from 1908 to 1910. On purchasing another car, the Bayard was given to his wife to drive. Mrs Sangster was reputedly Burra’s first lady driver.
