History
Only 120 units of the Supermoto 990 R were imported into Australia in 2009.
Modifications
Compared to the standard Supermoto 990, the R version has the following enhancements:
- top level WP suspension (completely revamped elements)
- fork sliders with TiAINi (black nitride) coating
- rear shock piston rod with TiAINi (black nitride) coating
- forged Marchesini rims
- top level Brembo brake calipers -
- front calipers are 4-piston monoblocks radially mounted
- rear caliper is 2-piston floating
In addition, Akrapovic slip on exhaust canisters have been fitted (pentagonal titanium with carbon fibre endcaps)
