History
I bought the car in 1994, my second 240z after selling my first in 1990. It was the best I could find in SA at that time, but it was an automatic with a sunroof and I almost walked away. But I eventually bought it and loved it, the former owner had done a nice job on the body and a great job on the interior. I drove it a lot over the next few years, and loved it. In 1999 I took it off the road for a long overdue restoration, but for a load of reasons, the project stalled. It was 18 years before I looked at the car again, and an intense 18 month partial resto followed. I finally got it back on the road again in September 2019.
Modifications
Delivered in Australia as 3 spd manual, I converted it to 5 a speed using an original FS5C71A gearbox. Standard Nissan L28 engine, minor combustion chamber and port work. Twin flat top carbs, de-smogged pulling through a custom cool-air intake. Toyota Hilux s12+8 front disc brake upgrade. Gas struts on standard springs.
