History
Vehicle was is early German delivery (non 'cat') M3 built Feb. '87; 'Alpin Weiss' in colour, with full black leather interior & 'factory' 2-way sun roof. This car was brought to Australia by the German owner in late '95/early '96 & converted to 'right hand drive', with full Australian Compliance Plate dated 6/'96, then fitted. It is complete with all the original delivery documentation, German ownership/ registration records & BMW service/ upgrade history; 118K.kms. having been recorded to date. Standard equipment included tinted glass, & twin electric door mirrors. Optional 'factory fitted' equipment on this vehicle apart from sunroof & full leather trim, also includes heated rear screen, headlamp 'wash/wipes', electric door windows, Alpine stereo system, an 'on board' computer with overhead overhead 'check list' panel & engine immobilizer.
Photo at "Speed on Tweed 2008"; this vehicle won Shannons "Best BMW" trophy out of some 40+ BMWs on display at the event! After some 10 years of ownership sold in May 2012, to an interstate buyer.
Modifications
It was 'upgraded' to both Evo II [front spoiler, kevlar Air Induction Box, & 'M Tech' computer 'chip' ] & Evo III [ 'Power Tech' -15mm sports suspension], Bilstein shock absorbers, BBS - BMW (3piece) 8J[F] & 9J[R] x 16H2 alloy wheels with 'screw in' centres & a fully adjustable rear wing] specifications by BMW Niederlassung of Munich, in October '93. This vehicle is in a totally original 'un-restored' condition albeit with a full engine rebuild (blueprinted & balanced) in 2004/5 @ approximately100K.kms. when replacement of duplex timing chain/slide rails could not be verified.
