History
Australian delivered car, built May 1974. Having undergone a full body/mechanical restoration & to re-painted Baikal Blue (the colour of a 1974 BMW E9 3.0cs coupe I had owned many years ago) & never used on the BMW E10 series. When completed (a "love job" by my son in his 'spare time' in Kalgoorlie WA) in late Feb.2017, the car will be transported home to the Gold Coast & new BMW E30 alloy wheels?new Pirelli tyres are to be fitted, then registered on Club Plates. This has been a "once only" project, as the cost of importation from Germany of new panels (front clip, front guards, bonnet, boot lid, etc) & all new mechanical parts (much of which was also imported) has been 'horrendous'. Plus when the many, many hours of 'unpaid' labour put into this restoration by my son over many years are taken into account, makes this undertaking a 'once only ' project! NEVER TO BE REP[EATED!
Modifications
Now fitted with new 6.5" x 14" BMW E30 "bottle top" Alloy Wheels, Momo steering wheel, Weber dual throat down draft carburettor/intake manifold & sports exhaust system. With fitting of new body panels, alloy body strip surrounds have bee deleted & bumper over riders/rubber strips removed when bumpers re-chromed (like a 1975 E10 1502) .
