History
I bought this great little Renault in 1978 for $3995. Most people thought this car was ugly. I thought it was so ugly that it was cute. It was very reliable and could go almost anywhere a 4 wheel drive could, including up the Daintree in FNQ and even on beaches sometimes. Though I did get bogged on Emerald Beach above Coffs Harbour and had to dig myself out over many hours. Sold for $2100 in 1980. The cruiser behind the Renault at Tuncurry is a Cresta 46 designed and built by my uncles Ron and Arthur Robinson who established and owned the Cresta boat business back then. Later it was taken over by other businessmen.
