Our Dad bought this as a Christmas present for me and my younger brother in 1966 for $20, when we were eleven and ten years old. He parked it beside the house and took the battery out. So then we could drive (pretend) all over the world. We had many great imaginary adventures in the old Austin! (the car pictured is identical to ours but owned by someone who was showing it at the 2010 All British Day at the Kings School in Sydney)
