The new Scout pays tribute to the original, which was produced from 1919 through 1949; the 101 Scout (1928-1931) was touted as one of the best Indian motorcycles ever made. The original Scout was a popular competitor at the The Wall of Death board-track races, and carried the “Indian Wrecking Crew” to many Flat Track victories. The Scout also was used by Allied Forces in World War II, and who can forget the “World’s Fastest Indian” – the 1920 Scout that broke multiple land-speed records by Burt Munro in 1967?
