A friend bought this bike new in 1985 in Lismore and in 1999 rode it into his garage where it sat uncovered, flat tyres,and that's where it then remained sadly until December 2015 and as it was very close to the beach I don't have to tell you the rest ! Every time I would see him he would pester me to come and have a look at it as it had to go! I couldn't resist it as I could see beyond the corrosion rust and neglect. After many hours of scrubbing and rubbing,polishing, and a few minor changes, seat re trimmed,all hydraulics re kited and new fluids, cooling system flushed etc. new battery and tyres, ugly ape handlebars disposed of, as well as monster chrome mirrors, then away we went! It was worth every minute of the effort as it had only done 18,000 original klms, it is a remarkably smooth and easy bike to ride, a pleasure.
Modifications
Only the pillion seat removed and a rack fitted in it's place, and seat re covered in tan instead of black.
