Special order in early 2001 from Nuford specified for early builds AU Series 2 XR8 with the Tickford Badged 200kW 302. This was the special TVE XR8 ute before the Pursuit was released.
Delivered mid-2001, when the TVE exclusivity was being pushed. In 2001 getting photos posted to a special website of your car in the TVE workshop was cutting edge. Engine even had the name of the engine builder on a plate fitted to the Drivers Side Rocker Cover (A J Lindara for the record).
One of my all time favourite cars, despite to ugly duckling looks. It had no problems on the open road keeping up with a friends VT SS Ute.
Traded 2 1/2 years later on a BA XR8 sedan, which was not has focused in comparison.
Saw it come up for sales in Wangara in 2013, almost bought her back.
