History
My university student car. Became mine when retired from duty as a taxi in 1992.
It had over 900,000k's and still on the original motor when I tool it over. In my university days it needed a motor rebuild (Repco GEM) and replacement BW35 gearbox. Was also treated to a 2 1.2 inch Lukey Exhaust and Genie Exhaust. Bench seat and rubber floor mats made way for buckets and full carpets early in my ownership.
Fortunately I had access to a workshop at the servo where I worked on the weekends.
As a taxi it came with gas and served me will until 1998 when it was replaced with a new Falcon Ute. It also came with some nice extras like the transmission cooler, HD radiator, calibrated speedo, and the bigger front calipers and manual adjustable rear drums off the Police Pack.
Was sold off in early 2001 to a workmate who needed a car to drive to Perth. He claimed it was the best $1000 car he had ever owned. But after a hard life and some decent accidents it lacked chassis rigidity.
