I purchased it in 2011 from a gentleman who had bought it 41 years ago in Texas and it had never been in the rain or snow and he claimed it was a (GS) Gran Sport. I wasn’t looking for a GS so if it was it would be a nice bonus. It looked straight and heavily loaded with factory options like cruise control, electronic eye, electric front 1/4 windows.
Modifications
Seats have be done a little differently to the factory stitching and in quality leather, better carpet, custom mandrel bent exhaust and ports mufflers, debadged, sports air cleaner to show off the factory dual quads, and better brakes.
In 2020 during the Covid lockdown I decided to do an LS3 engine swap. The old engine needed a rebuild and I didn't want the hassle of chasing old parts so a brand new crate engine was an attractive option.
