History
I believe that I am the 4th owner since original, imported to Australia in 1970. From the Marti report the vehicle was originally yellow and of course LH Drive. It had been painted Candy Apple Red, with a white C stripe, (which suits her fine) and had been converted to RH drive before I came across her. As she had already been tinkered with, I had no problem in carrying out a few modifications, so to speak.
Modifications
Since aquiring I have refurbished and enhanced the motor, including a 347ci stroker kit, a Holley 650CFM double pumper carburettor, Edelbrock lifter manifold and heads, roller rockers, solid lifters, a warm cam, ceramic coated header exhaust manifolds and 2 and a quarter dual exhaust system plus a few other enhancements. Then of course added a power brake system and discs. As part of the upgrade I have fitted new American Racing Torque Thrust wheels and appropriate rubber,
I have also replaced the original AM radio with a look alike AM/FM/MP3 stereo with 4 x additional discrete speakers and have installed an under dash air conditioning unit that is also quite discrete - and works well! (Once I had installed a new radiator and separate heat exchanger!)
