History
Built from an orange S model in 2006. In 2007 I wrote a book about building it called "Strike me pink - Torana LJ in historic racing", which is available from Pitstop Bookshop and some others. Racing this car for two years culminated in a meeting at Bathurst Easter 2008 which is on youtube. In youtube search for "Pink Torana Easter Bathurst" to see driver’s view of 3 laps of Bathurst in a Group N historic race. Around ’08-’09 I sold it to a young guy in the Northern Territory, but I believe it is now being raced in Qld.
Modifications
Triple Webbers, race motor, race suspension, etc, etc, but I did not have the budget to match the serious Group N historic racers who at the time were spending $10-20,000 on engine rebuilds!
