Here's a pic of me alongside my beloved 1971 Datsun 1200, (taken early Sept. 1979 ) at Perisher Valley car park in a blizzard. Traveled from Sydney with 2 mates. Almost lost the exhaust system at Jindabyne, however saved by coat hanger wire and wedged in some steel wool to stop the major rattle. Didn't realise we'd forgotten the box of cassettes until the AM radio faded South of Liverpool, so forced to listen the only one we had, ELO New World Record about 20 times. The Datsun had the best heater that would almost fry your frozen fingers and dry out your eyeballs. Whenever I hear any song from that album, it takes me back to fun times, and running a car on a shoestring. Glory Days !
