History
I purchased this vehicle in April 2011 from a private car collector in Dandenong who had too many toys. The Odometer read 35328 k’s, thus cofirming it is not the original engine. The chassis is 1975, the engine is out of a 1974 donor car that was regisited with The RCCA under the ownership of Derek Richardson of Rye. I have no past ownership info on the chassis.
Based on my Vin Number aprox 248 RHD CKD NZ build Rovers rolled off the production line after mine, the total number being produced in NZ was 4,112.
Furthermore the Engine Number does confirm a change of engine, as based on that number it would appear to be from a Home Market import, therefore direct from the UK with 2 charcol canisters and also a smaller tank fitted to the back of the standard petrol tank.
