Modifications
A one of a kind SVO build optioned for existing owner since March 1971.
Carefully restored using genuine Ford spares to replace aged trim and worn parts avoiding Reproduction parts and using Genuine Ford parts purchased well ahead of the resto.
In order to make the body "rust free'" much time and care was needed to remove rust in inconspicuous areas especially inside hidden areas such as sills which were sand blasted from inside.
Engine was rebuilt and remains standard looking with 'no bling' as does the rest of the car. One one alteration to the car is the replacement of the Borg Warner axle with a 9" Ford unit.
A 36 Gallon fuel tank was added in its first year of service.

302 V8, 4 Speed Gearbox, Rally Pack Option (GS Pack), Dual Racing Mirrors, Sports Handling Suspension, Tinted Laminated Screen, Disc Brakes, Seat Belts and LSD

The Fairmont base was ordered with 302 V8, 4 Speed Manual Trans, Tealglow Paint, All Black Interior Trim. Options included, Rally Pack (GS), Sports Handling Suspension (same as GT), Dual Racing Mirrors, Limited Slip Diff, Wide Oval ER70 RSW Radial Ply Tyres, Power Disc Brakes (mandatory with V8) Seat Belts ( Mandatory) & All Black Interior Trim.
