Genuine late 1970 XW GT run in last batch of 60 odd before XY’s were released. Had vehicle since 1991 when it had a back to bare metal rebuild. Vehicle originally came with power steering, & Mark IV air conditioning from new which makes it a great cruiser.
Modifications
Vehicle has a few mods, but nothing radical. Heads converted to run unleaded petrol. Mlid cam running 780 Holley. Crossed & drilled front brake rotors. so it stops. I recently upgraded the brake booster & that has transformed the stopping power of the vehicle. It actually pulls up like a modern car now. Koni adjustable shocks all round so it goes around corners. Headlights run a quartz halogen conversion 80 over 120 so I can see at night. This mod gives the vehicle brilliant night time vision. Runs period 7 x 14 inch Aungers front & rear, just for something different. Have replaced seat belts with inertial reels in the front. so I don’t kill myself.
