History
The Sunbeam Alpine (Series2) was my first car and I have many fond memories. I was only 18 when I bought the car privately ( in 1973) and it was completely in bits and pieces, and being only 18 and just starting work, my finances were very tight. I was completely influenced in sports cars from an early age and really did want to own a sports car. The only reason that I could afford it was that is was in pieces and was someone else's project and I bought it at a fair price. I just loved the shape of the Alpine with the fins at the rear and the shape still looks good today. The car was eventually completely restored (as the photo) mid 1975 and I was very lucky as all the parts of the car were complete in a large container and mechanically, it was reconditioned by the previous owner. My fondest memory of the restoration was that my late Dad was involved with me in the project and I will always have great memories of this father/son project. Whenever I see a white Alpine on the road now, I always think back to those special days/years that my Dad and I spent together restoring the Alpine.
Modifications
The car was virtually restored to original condition.
