History
My grandfather was a mechanic and serviced this ute regularly, one service the owner couldn't afford it so my grandad had the ute transferred into his name until the owner could pay. The owner could never pay so Grandad kept the ute. In the early 90s my Dad asked to borrow the ute when we moved to Perth. 20 odd years later Dad was still "borrowing" the ute. When grandad passed the ute was left to my Dad, a few years later my Uncle and Cousin had ownership but decided the re-build was too much and returned the ute to my Dad.
I had loved this ute my entire childhood so when I graduated uni and got a solid career, Dad said he'd be happy for me to take the ute and restore it as long as it stayed in the family.
I have been collecting parts since 2013 but truly hit the rebuild hard in 2019 when I found my dream motor for the old girl (classic, carby 308).
Its been an interesting experience restoring a car as a female and with zero skills, that's for sure.
She is now in her final stages of restoration and off for assembly in Nov22.
