History
I was born in Italy in 07/1997, exported to Britain, where I was sold new (so I’m naturally right-handed). I emigrated to Australia in May 02, courtesy of Tony McDougall; part of a family of five or so, now living around Australia.
Designed by Chris Bangle (before moving to BMW) in a competition with Pininfarina, who designed the interior. Built by Pininfarina from the mid 1990’s to 2000, I was, if you like, a mini-Ferrari (Just look at me from any angle).
Powered by the reliable Fiat-Lancia 5-cyl engine (not the Volvo JV as previously noted), Fiat breathed some extra life with a punchy turbo. I am known as the fastest front-wheel-drive production car ever made. Let me tell you, I gave the ’98 Porsche Carrera a run for its money.
I’m a head turner and I love it. Don’t apply if you’re shy.
