History
I built this vehicle in 1985 and it still sits in my back shed, It has never been registered.
Modifications
The body was purchased from the Body Manufacturers in Melbourne, I started with the chassis from a HQ panel van, fitted a HZ front end, the Engine, Gearbox and Diff all came from a doner HJ Premier, the engine and gearbox were rebuilt, the differential was modified to suit leaf springs, the rear springs were adjusted and bottom leaves inverted to the top to lower the rear end height, the front engine cross member was replaced 300mm further back and 100mm lower to fit the engine under the bonnet the gearbox mounting crossmember was also moved 300mm rearward and lowered,, the oil filter adapter was from a starfire four engine which bolts on and changes the angle of the oil filter so as to clear the original front cross member, the radiator lays back at a 30degree angle and uses an electric fan, the woodgrain dash is from a VN V8 sports Commodore. the fuel tank is from an XY falcon with the spare wheel well in the tank, it is fitted in the chassis where the original spare wheel winder assy was taken out.
