History
Melocco TC Special”
1949 MG TC- Supercharged Special.
Manufactured 12 July 1949 and reconstructed by well know NSW TC racer Mr Percy Hunter in the late 1980's for Graham Melocco. Constructed with mostly new old stock panels on a new timber frame, this TC special was a ‘no expense spared’ build. It features steel billet engine internals, a period correct aluminium Lucas Laystall cylinder head and Rootes type supercharger. It is fitted with a ‘Needham’ gearbox, Alfin competition brakes and custom 16" wheels, with Michelin tyres. The car was campaigned by Graham Melocco in NSW for a number of years in speed and regularity events before passing to Graham’s brother in law, Warren Sealey of Toowoomba Qld. Warren subsequently campaigned the car for a number of years before I purchased it and brought it to Victoria in 2011. The car has been carefully maintained to a high standard and is regularly used in local Hillclimb and Speed events.
