I purchased this new in early 1982 after reading about how impressed the Australian motorcycle journalists were with this new ADR compliant model. Yes it did have a KX125 frame, it was extremely light and it handled very well, but it was let down by a very soft 2 valve single engine which was down on horsepower compared to my buddies who were now all riding Honda XL250 SA/SBs. I had the engine modified with a Z1 high compression piston, fitted a power pipe, hot cam and modified the carby in order to keep up with and sometimes beat my buddies. After about 18 months I sold it and purchased a CR450RB.
