History
I restored and raced this bike with several other ‘semi works’ 1973 model 431 and 432 twin shock YZs back in the early 1990s. These bikes were amazingly light, handled well and made great power. Interestingly Yamaha only produced 4,004 250s and even less 360s - 530. When new in 1973 they retailed for about twice the price of the publicly available MX/SC motocross models.
Modifications
This photo shows the bike with special alloy finned Koni competition shocks. My other YZs were fitted with genuine Yamaha YZ thermal flows which had been modified with Koni internals.
